The Story so far...
Hi,
We are Dan, Shell and family. we are passionate about all things music. whether that's live shows or recording we are all about creating and delivering the highest quality production.
Dan began his musical career as a drummer Christmas Day 1988 at only 3 years old. 10 years later he was regularly gigging in and around Glastonbury with various bands and never looked back.
Fast forward to 2010. After years of constant gigging, he had grown tired of the terrible monitor mixes and gross on stage sound that he decided to learn to mix. Focusing on monitors and with one true goal, the perfect stage sound.
He spent the next few years honing his skills working with the best live engineers he could find, soaking up all their advice and knowledge along the way.
8 years later in 2018 he decided to take the leap and go full time.
Named after his two boys Jaxon and Phoenix,
Jaxonix Audio was born!
We all have covid memories. good and bad but when Boris said "Work from home" Dan took this as a sign that he needed to build a bedroom studio. He began remote recording drums for a number of artists across the globe and soon started writing and recording his own music to fill the time.
The studio grew. The bed had to go.
It wasn't long before the studio outgrew the bedroom and luckily for Dan his good friends at The King Arthur said "Come on over!"
So the next chapter started.
As the studio space grew the sessions grew too. Working with the likes of Monkey Bizzle, Ez Dickens, September Son and Battery Acid to name a few and as the word spread the work increased along with the need for a dedicated purpose built space.
So where does Michelle fit in to this?
Well... around 2021 Dan was working a lot. Long days, long drives and late nights so the 24 hour McDonalds drive thru became a bit of a tradition. There was always a friendly face at window 1, A familiar face from school. Michelle.
Before long Dan was visiting McDonalds far too often but not for the delicious burgers and after quite a few conversations and the promise of a cup of tea, Shell agreed to meet up at a more reasonable hour away from the Golden Arches.
not so long story short, Dan and Shell got married in 2022.
4 glorious years later Shell decided to jump onboard and Join the Jaxonix Audio family too. Creating Jaxonix Audio Ltd.
Their skillsets really compliment each other as Dan is the driven tech geek and Shell keeps him grounded in reality (most of the time) keeping the whole thing moving and handling the admin although she's quite partial to a game of solitaire.
So with the need for a bigger and better studio and the local need for rehearsal space the obvious, but entirely scary, decision was to acquire a unit and build Jaxonix Studio.
So here we are. Yes, they are a bit mad but they are awesome and together they are a driving force for local music and musicians.
